Mutation — only ONE applies in GAG2
Biggest difference from Grow a Garden 1: mutations do not stack in Grow a Garden 2. Each crop carries one mutation at a time and a new one replaces the old, so there is no stacking dozens of multipliers to reach trillion-Sheckle harvests.
3Freshness, boosts & multipliers
About decay: a fresh crop sells at the top of its range while a fully decayed one drops to roughly a fifth of full value. Watering restores freshness — one to three watering cans can fully heal decay — and landing a mutation resets sell-value decay to fresh even if the crop still looks decayed.

🔐 How this data is verified

Crop values, seed prices and price floors come from community-tested GAG2 data cross-checked across multiple sources. Because Grow a Garden 2 is a new game, several multipliers used by this Grow a Garden 2 calculator are still disputed between sources — every one is labelled Confirmed, Disputed or Community estimate in the mutation table below, so you always know how much to trust a number. Last checked July 2026. Found a wrong value? Report it.

Every confirmed GAG2 crop with its seed cost, sell value at reference weight, and the verified sell value at its reference weight (the normal weight the crop grows to). Multi-harvest crops keep producing from one plant, so their real return is much higher than a single sell.

Grow a Garden 2 Calculator: All Mutations & Multipliers

GAG2 has a far smaller mutation list than the original game, and each one replaces the last rather than stacking — which makes chasing a single high-multiplier weather mutation far more important than collecting many small ones. Because the game is new, sources still disagree on several multipliers, so each row shows how confident that number is.

Grow a Garden 2 Weather Events

Weather events run for a limited time and apply mutations to crops growing when they hit. Keep your garden full and ripe before an event starts — empty plots mean wasted multipliers.

Grow a Garden 2 Pets Tier List

Pets in GAG2 spawn randomly on the map and are bought with Sheckles before they despawn. Because night-time stealing and defending is core to this game, defensive pets dominate the top — but Unicorn and Golden Dragonfly matter most for pure crop value, since they are the only pets that apply mutations.

Pet variants: Big, Mega and Rainbow

GAG2 pets roll two separate variant types. Size variants (Big and Mega) increase size and ability strength, with Mega giving roughly a ×3 ability multiplier. The Rainbow variant rolls independently and adds around ×1.25 on top. Because they roll separately a pet can be both Mega and Rainbow, and that combination is the most valuable version of any pet in trading.

What Is the Grow a Garden 2 Calculator?

The Grow a Garden 2 calculator is a free tool that works out exactly what a GAG2 harvest is worth in Sheckles. You pick your crop, enter its weight, apply whichever mutation it carries, set freshness and friend boost, and it returns a real number — no guessing, no rough Discord estimates.

Grow a Garden 2 launched as a separate Roblox experience from the original, and although it looks familiar — the first Grow a Garden became one of the most-played games on the platform — the value system underneath works differently enough that using a GAG1 calculator on GAG2 crops gives you wrong numbers. This Grow a Garden 2 calculator is built specifically for the sequel.

How the Grow a Garden 2 Calculator Works Out Value

The Grow a Garden 2 calculator uses the community-tested value model rather than a rough estimate. Weight does far more work in GAG2 than most players realise, because it is raised to a power rather than multiplied straight through. The model this calculator uses is:

Value = Base Value × (Weight ÷ Base Weight)exponent × Mutation × (1 + Friend Boost) × Freshness × Stock Multiplier, with a price floor applied at the end so nothing sells below its minimum.

A note on reference weight: every crop has a normal weight it usually grows to, and the listed sell value applies at that weight. Star Fruit’s reference weight is around 8.97 kg, so a Star Fruit at that weight sells for roughly 5,400 with no mutation. Crops marked "weight not calibrated" in the result panel are still being measured, so their values at the reference weight are right but the scaling for unusually heavy or light specimens is an estimate.

The exponent sits around 2.65 for most crops, which means a fruit at twice its reference weight is worth roughly six times more, not twice. A few crops — notably Bamboo and Mushroom — use a lower exponent, so heavy specimens of those gain less than you would expect. Both are set individually in the data file.

Daily Deal and Double or Nothing

Two in-game options change what a harvest is actually worth. The Daily Deal pays roughly 2.2× the normal sell value, so it is almost always worth saving your best crop for. Double or Nothing is a coin flip: win and you get 2×, lose and you get nothing. Both figures appear under the main result so you can compare all three payouts before you sell.

Why the value range matters

Decay is the mechanic that catches most players out. The same crop harvested fresh and harvested late can differ by a factor of five, which is why this calculator shows a min–max range under the headline number rather than a single figure. If your result looks lower than expected, freshness is usually the reason — water your crops before harvesting.

Best Crops to Grow (Checked With the Grow a Garden 2 Calculator)

  • Early game: Carrot (1 Sheckle) funds your first real seeds, then switch to multi-harvest Commons — Strawberry and Blueberry keep producing without replanting.
  • Mid game: Tomato and Bamboo are the usual first upgrades. Bamboo is single-harvest but sells around 800 from a 700-Sheckle seed, so it pays back almost immediately.
  • Best return on investment: Mushroom costs 15,000 Sheckles and sells for around 13,000 per harvest — the strongest ratio in the game, though single-harvest.
  • End game: Hypno Bloom, Sun Bloom and Moon Bloom all sell around 9,000 per fruit and are multi-harvest. Plant a fully-grown Sun Bloom next to a fully-grown Moon Bloom and a merge prompt fuses them into the secret Eclipse Bloom, whose harvest triggers the Eclipse weather event.

How to Farm High-Value Mutations

  • Fill your garden before a weather event — events only affect crops in the ground, so empty plots are wasted multipliers.
  • Use sprinklers to raise mutation chance during growth cycles, even between events.
  • Get a Unicorn — the only pet that applies Rainbow (×30), independent of weather.
  • Don’t waste Starfall — the rarest event and the only source of Starstruck.
  • Prioritise high base-value crops — a big multiplier on a Moon Bloom is worth vastly more than the same mutation on a Carrot.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do mutations stack in Grow a Garden 2?

No. Unlike the original game, each GAG2 crop carries only one mutation at a time and a new mutation replaces the previous one. This is the single biggest difference between the two games’ value systems.

How much does decay reduce crop value in Grow a Garden 2?

A fully decayed crop can drop to roughly a fifth of its fresh value. Watering restores freshness — one to three watering cans usually heals it fully — and landing a mutation resets sell-value decay even if the crop still looks decayed.

Why does weight matter so much in GAG2?

Because weight is raised to an exponent of roughly 2.65 rather than multiplied linearly. A fruit at double its reference weight is worth around six times more. Bamboo and Mushroom use lower exponents, so they gain less from extra weight.

What is the best mutation in Grow a Garden 2?

Among the higher multipliers, Bloodlit and Electric lead the standard list, with Aurora and the newer Eclipsed and Glow mutations rating higher still. Sources currently disagree on several of these figures, so check the confidence column in the mutation table above before planning around a number.

Can I use the Grow a Garden 1 calculator for GAG2?

No — the crops, multipliers, weight exponent and stacking rules are all different. Use this page for GAG2 and the main calculator for the original game.

Which pet is best in Grow a Garden 2?

For crop value, Unicorn is the standout as the only pet that applies the Rainbow mutation. For defending, Black Dragon gives the best value at a fraction of Ice Serpent’s price. Robin is the best economy pet since it drops free duplicate seeds.
