About the Grow a Garden Calculator

A free tool built by a player, for players who want real numbers instead of guesses before every trade.

Why I Built This

I started playing Grow a Garden on Roblox like most people do — just growing crops, hatching pets, and trading with friends for fun. That changed pretty fast once trading got serious. Someone would offer me a crop and quote a Sheckle price, and I had no real way to check if that number was actually fair.

Discord channels had rough estimates, but those were averages — they didn’t know my crop’s exact weight, my exact mutation stack, or whether I had a friend boost active at the time. The gap between “probably worth that” and “actually worth that” kept costing me value on trades I couldn’t check fast enough.

So I built the calculator I needed myself. 🌱

What This Site Actually Does

This is a free tool for Grow a Garden players who want real numbers instead of guesses. You select a plant or pet, apply the mutations it has, enter the exact weight, and get the precise Sheckle value back — the same way the game itself would calculate it.

A few specific things I built it to handle, because I personally ran into all of them:

Plant Value Calculator

Pick a plant, stack the mutations, enter weight and friend boost, get the exact value. Mutation rules are enforced the same way the game enforces them — you can’t apply Gold and Rainbow to the same crop here either, because you can’t in-game.

Pet Weight by Age

Pet value swings hard with age, and two players can own the exact same species with a value gap of ten times or more. Enter the species and age, and you get the expected weight range — so you can tell if someone’s pet is actually as valuable as they’re claiming.

Trade Check (WFL)

Run both sides of a trade through the calculator before agreeing to anything. If the numbers don’t line up, you know exactly how much you’d be giving up before you click accept.

How I Keep the Data Accurate

I don’t have access to the game’s source code, and I’m not claiming to. Every value, multiplier, and weight curve on this site comes from testing in-game and cross-checking with what the wider community has verified. Grow a Garden updates often — sometimes more than once a week — and I update the calculator as soon as new values are confirmed.

I’ll be upfront about one thing: right after a big update drops, there’s usually a short window where some numbers haven’t caught up yet. If you’re about to make a major trade involving something that was just added, it’s worth double-checking against the community before fully trusting any third-party tool — mine included.
